Arul’s quiet life is disrupted when he clashes with a corrupt MLA, (Pasupathy), and his brother, a powerful minister named Sethupathy (Kollam Thulasi). Arul performed at the box office. While it received mixed to positive reviews from critics, some felt it was a stereotypical "hero vs. hoodlums" tale that struggled to match the tempo of Hari's previous work.
